A Japanese Buddhist monk who established the Nichiren school of Buddhism. He advocated for the chanting of the mantra "Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō" as a means to attain enlightenment and bring about positive transformation in society. His teachings emphasized the importance of faith, devotion, and the ability of individuals to create peace and harmony in the world through spiritual practice and the proper understanding of Buddhist teachings.
